 s.<br />\n <br />\n Restorative practice supports 
 people to manage conflict\, resolve disputes\, and
  negotiate agreements in criminal justice\, health
 \, and education systems\, and in family\, workpla
 ce\, residential\, faith\, and other communities.<
 br />\n <br />\n In all of these contexts\, a faci
 litated restorative circle can support a group of 
 people to make sense of a situation together\, the
 n make an agreement about how to improve that situ
 ation.<br />\n <br />\n This one-day workshop intr
 oduces foundational skills for facilitating restor
 ative circles\, including circles with large group
 s of people.<br />\n <br />\n The workshop is for 
 people who are (i) new to restorative practice or 
 (ii) experienced with restorative conferences in r
 estorative justice programmes\, and interested to 
 explore the use of restorative circles in other co
 ntexts.<br />\n <br />\n Participants will examine
 :<br />\n <br />\n - the types of situations where
  restorative circles are most effective\;<br />\n 
 <br />\n - the different circle formats most suite
 d to these types of situations\;<br />\n <br />\n 
 - facilitation techniques to use across the differ
 ent formats\; and<br />\n <br />\n - how these cir
 cle processes and techniques can help manage commu
 nity relationships.<br />\n <br />\n The workshop 
 is fully catered with tea\, coffee\, and lunch pro
 vided.<br />\n <br />\n The workshop is being faci
 litated by Dr Alikki Vernon and Dr David Moore\, V
 ice-President and President of the Australian Asso
 ciation for Restorative Justice and authors of 'Se
 tting Relations Right in Restorative Practice'.<br
